MSU Facility for Rare Isotope Beams

Michigan State University's Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (the FRIB) will be the most powerful rare isotope accelerator in the world, allowing scientists to make discoveries about isotopes' properties, nuclear astrophysics, fundamental interactions, and applications for society, including medicine, homeland security and industry.

IBEW Local 665 members employed by Shaw Electric have worked on the FRIB in the linear accelerator tunnel.

Lansing Community Projects 

From REO Town to the Michigan State Capitol, IBEW Local 665 members and their signatory contractors have worked on many of the iconic buildings in Lansing and the surrounding communities.

Projects include the Accident Fund Headquarters, the downtown Lansing Knapp's Building, Lansing's REO Town, Sparrow Hospital and Health Centers, Spartan Stadium, Michigan State University's Well's Hall and the MSU steam loop.
